Witchford Parish Council is always keen to hear the views of residents and welcomes comments and suggestions from residents at any time. Please contact the Clerk directly if you wish to raise anything with the Parish Council.
From time to time the Parish Council also undertakes focussed consultations with residents on particular matters. Details of the latest consultations can be found below.
Possible Road Safety Schemes – what would you support?
The County Council runs a match-funding scheme where it part-funds road safety projects. We are considering whether to apply for funding from this scheme, and if so what scheme we should apply for. The balance of the costs of any scheme have to be met by the Parish Council.
The three schemes we are considering are: speed reducing measures on Main Street, no-stopping zig-zags outside the Village College on, and footpath crossing markers on the A142.
Applications for funding have to show that there is a need for the works and that local residents support them. So, if you support the Parish Council applying for any of these three schemes we need to hear from you. You can send comments directly to us via the comments form on our website https://witchfordparishcouncil.gov.uk/contact/ , you can ring us on 07394 915920 and you can come along to a Parish Council meeting the first Wednesday of every month. We can also accept petitions from the public.
The County Council funding scheme is only open until 10th January 2025 so we need to hear from you by the end of December.
