Witchford Parish Council expresses its sincere condolences to HM The Queen on the death of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on behalf of the Parish Council and the residents of Witchford, and has placed a message of condolence on behalf of the Witchford community on the official Buckingham Palace Book of Condolence. The United Kingdom will forever be grateful for all His Royal Highness has done to support HM The Queen. In particular, many local young people will recall with fondness the challenge and opportunities offered by taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
Residents who wish to send personal messages of condolence are asked to do so on the official Book of Condolence via the Buckingham Palace website here. The Parish Council will not be making a floral tribute, as the Duke of Edinburgh’s own wish was for donations to charity to be made in lieu of flowers. Residents are asked to consider making a donation to their own favourite charity in memory of the Duke of Edinburgh if they wish to mark his passing, instead of leaving flowers.
